According to recent research, jet flights in Europe are increasing in demand, making this luxury market grow for the first time since 2008. In the summer of 2015, the most popular airports were Nizza, Olbia and Ibiza.

According to the report, carried out for the charter flight company Victor, it is stated that the luxury segment has made its first growth since 2008. The research shows that the largest market for this type of traveling is France. Nearly 20 percent of all private jet flights in Europe made in 2015 were booked in France, closely followed by Germany with roughly 15 percent and Great Britain with close to 13 percent.

However, while the industry experienced growth in Europe, the Russian and Ukrainian branches recorded devastating losses.

On the 23rd of May 2015 alone, the day of the formula 1 race in Monaco, 2221 flights took place. The race in Monza and Venice’s annual film festival prompted equally large numbers of private jet flights. Thus, the most popular airports in the summer of 2015 were Nizza, Olbia and Ibiza.

According to the charter company, the results of their research were based on data by the European airspace safety organization Eurocontrol and North American aviation authority FAA.
