Americans are still in the same travel mood for fall, despite high costs and a chaotic summer due to airline cancellations and delays. According to data from the Tripadvisor platform, 61% of U.S. respondents plan to travel this fall.

In the ranking of the top travel destinations that will be most visited in the USA in fall are Las Vegas, Nevada, New York, New York, New York, Orlando Florida, Honolulu, Hawaii, Lahaina, Hawaii, Key West, Florida, Nashville, Tennessee, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, New Orleans, Louisiana and Miami Beach, Florida.

Americans appear to have cut back on another spending to take fall vacations. In addition, surveys indicate that more than half of Americans plan to travel in the fall and 66% will spend more than at the same time last year.

Likewise, domestic travel continues to be the trend and will continue in the fall. The study emphasizes that 81% of U.S. travelers and 60% of global travelers surveyed prefer domestic vacations. However, more than 4% of Americans surveyed plan to travel more than seven hours and 49% will travel by air.

As reported in recent months, U.S. airlines have made some flight cutbacks, possibly extending into the year-end season in order to be more efficient with available staff. However, this will cause fares to skyrocket as airlines will have limited demand and no profitability.

It means that, overall, flights during this holiday season will be fuller, with less opportunity for improvement and higher fares.
