Not for everybody

Dear Mr. Eagan,
Your article attempts to highlight the potential advantages and services of AI; however, I believe the tourism sector would have appreciated an analysis of the very low-level way in which public decision-making is taking place. I'm referring to the biased recommendations that are further saturating some destinations. Recommendations based on "likes" or other subjective values that in no way reflect the veracity of the information. Once again, all sectors involved in tourism—airlines, OTAs, etc.—simply validate and satisfy customer searches. This is what I mean by the indiscriminate use of AI in global tourism.

Thank you very much.
