The BGC Cycle Philippines – Cycling for the Whole Family

The Bonifacio Global City Cycle Philippines is a mass ride on closed or partially closed roads. It is actually not a race but a get-together of cyclists from all walks of life and is part of the infamous Cycle Asia Tour.

The event will be held on 21, 22 and 23 of November 2014 in Singapore. It will cater to cyclists of all age groups, skill level and abilities. The categories include:

Tricycle ride category: This will involve kids between 2- 3 years old who will participate in the 100 meters race and kids between 4-5 years who will participate in the 500 meter race.

Kids ride category: This category is comprised of children between 5-9 years accompanied by an adult. Those participating in this category will be required to cover a distance of 5 kilometers.

The junior challenge: In this category, kids between the ages of 10 -12 years will participate in a 30 minute race.

Community ride: In this category anyone aged 10 and above can participate. It is a 20 kilometer race and it is composed of individual riders, students, and groups of 4.

The challenge: This is the last category. It comprises of individual riders, student riders, and a team of four riders. It is a 40 kilometer race and you must be aged 12 and above to participate in this category.

The three-day event will not be limited to cycling since there will be other fun activities within the Cycling and Lifestyle Expo for the entire family. On top of that the event will be open to both participants and non participants meaning that anyone can enter.

Registration is done online at www.cyclephilippines.com and at the Rudy project store at the BGC and at the Podium Mall. Each and every category has its own registration requirement and registration fees. It is advisable to check out the different categories and the fee requirement before registering.
