Asia witnesses an increase in the numbers of women traveling abroad. Women have significant influence over the purchase of family travel and they themselves travel more and more these days. “Asian women are traveling like never before. From the young to businesswomen to energetic grandmothers, they're traveling more often and further solo, in pairs with their female companions or as members of women-only interest groups,” says Mr. Don Birch, president of Abacus International, an Asia-Pacific travel service firm based in Singapore.
