BEST HOTELS IN THE WORLD ACCORDING TO EXPEDIA

Expedia, an Internet based travel company, has recently presented its annual list of world’s best hotels – the “Expedia Insiders" Select list”. The president of Expedia North America says the list will help customers to choose their hotel. The company has access to millions of gusts’ opinions and they also have experts all over the world to give them professional insight to the issue. They have created a mathematic formula based on the received information and the result than determines the position of a hotel in the list. In May Expedia has presented the list on its web pages. It is a selection of the best hotels from nearly 80,000 properties worldwide. The selection includes various types of hotels ranging from boutique hotels to chain properties.

 

The best hotel in the world according to Expedia is Sofitel Chicago Water Tower. It is a downtown hotel that was designed by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier. The building has 415 rooms on its 32 floors and it is considered a structural gem among the city"s prominent skyline. Number one in Asia (6th in world) is Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotelin the capital of Japan, Tokyo. The best European hotel (10th in world) according to the list is the Knight Residence in Edinburgh, Scotland.

 

It is a great honor to be mentioned in the list and hoteliers are well aware of it. It is also important promotion. Patrick Filatre, general manager, Sofitel Chicago Water Tower said they were extremely happy when they realized that Sofitel Chicago Water Tower was chosen as the worlds best hotel by Expedia and its travelers.
