100 million Euros is to be shared among local authorities and tourist organizations in Lower Silesia.

South-west Poland wants to use granted 100 million to lure western tourists with reconstructed monuments, modern hotels and hostels and luxurious health resorts. The money will be given to large cities as well as small villages. Applications will be accepted until the end of June and the work will start in 2010.

For 11 small health districts in Lower Silesia this will be a complete revolution. For 18 million Euros they will be able to design new foot paths, renew monuments and parks. Their ambition is to be as famous and attractive as they used to be before the WWII.

Other monuments of Lower Silesia will benefit too. Considerable amount of money will be spent on the largest mountain fortification in Europe in Silver Mountain (Srebrna Gora) or monastery in Lubiaz. Also mountain hostels in Rudawy Janowicke, Samotnia in the Karkonosze Mountains will be renewed for that money.

Also, there will be new attractions in the capital of Lower Silesia, Wrocław. It is planed to build a marina near the Millennium Bridge, so that visitors will be able to get there by ship!
